Miss Rose Witte of Elkhorn was a caller here Sunday. 

P.M. Dickey made a flying trip to the metropolis Sunday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wollen were passengers to Omaha Monday.

Butler Hoskins has been visiting friends here the past two weeks.

The C. Penke residence on Cottage hill is rapidly nearing completion.

Mrs. W.R. Mills is entertaining her sister from Scribner this week.

 Mrs. A.J. Spethmann and Mrs. F.C. Gottsch drove to Benson Tuesday.

The disastrous cyclone in Sarpy county was plainly seen from here Tuesday.

Workmen and a pile driving outfit have commenced work on the new bridge near the mill and the road is consequently out of use for the present. 

 The R.N.A. bazar and dance for Saturday, May 16, and should be well attended and patronized; and in fact we should all go and help the order in its usefulness.

We have in out possession a ladies chatelain pocketbook found on the road going south of town. Owner can have same by proving property and paying for this notice.

 

 

On account of the rain Sunday no game of ball was played. A game had been booked with the Blue Ribbons of Ft. Calhoun.

 C.W. Glandt, our enterprising contractor and builder, says he has the contracts for several new houses at Florence this summer. 

We are now prepared to furnish cement stone and brick in any quantity. Call and see us make them. Otto Hanse.

 Chas. Smith, Albert Labs, Joe Fletcher and son Harry entered the yellow cabs at the depot Monday and took a ride to Omaha and back.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Grothusen drove to Benson Tuesday and to Elkhorn Wednesday.

Dr. and Mrs. Hickey are visiting at Gretna.

The concrete foundation for Fred Petersen’s residence is nearing completion and presents a fine appearance.

A.J.  Spethmann will soon cast his line upon still waters for croppies, bass and the like. We saw him equipped for that purpose and leaving town Thursday.
