Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hirt and Mrs. Margaret Fallon spent Sunday at the Burt Fallon home. 

Marilyn Saeger and Mildred Hess spent Friday evening with Bernice and Eleanor Fallon. 

Mr. and Mrs. John Fedde spent Monday at Arlington with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Steen Sr. 

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Allison spent Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Winterburn. 

Miss Tracy Sass is spending several weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Thomsen. 

Miss Henrietta Martens and Edwin McArdle spent Sunday evening at the Burt Fallon home. 

The condition of W.C. Hopper is gradually improving following his return from the hospital. 

Mr. and Mrs. Karl Klebe and son visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neuman at Staplehurst. 

Phil Morris of Blencoe, Iowa Visited over the week-end with his sister, Mrs. L. H.Brown and family. 

Mrs. W.E. Goodhard and Mrs. H.N. Witt called on Mrs. L.J. Chavet at Waterloo Saturday evening. 

Mr. and Mrs. James P. Quinn and daughters were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Meyer, Sunday. 

Mrs. Henry Paasch, assisted by Mrs. John Bull, and Mrs. Chas. Parkening, Mrs. Earl Goodhard and Miss Katie Malek, sold poppies in Elkhorn on election day and $18.03 was realized from the sale. 

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Allison entertained friends and relatives Wednesday in honor of Mrs. Allison’s birthday. A nice lunch was served. 

Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Nelson and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Allison spent Monday evening with Chris Rolfs and Miss Gertrude.  

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neuhaus and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holling and Laverne spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Luey Veskerna, visiting with Mrs. Fred Veskerna and children, Eleanore and Vernon, who are visiting there for a short time. Other guests were Fred Veskerna, Mrs. Fritz Peetz and Mrs. Steve Wheeler and daughter, Rita Ann, of Millard.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fallon and family spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lambrecht. 

Mrs. Lucille Malstead and daughter, Dela, were dinner guests of  Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Goodhard Sunday. 

George Engle, Miss Henrietta Rolfs, and Mrs Hesel Rees were visitors at the Chris Rolf’s home Friday evening. 

Misses Shirley Schweekhord and Frances Prather of  Kearney spent the week-end with Miss Arline Kalk. 

Ed Timm Jr. and Chris Bull and Mr. Hennan mad a business trip to  Detroit, Mich. Thursday of last week. 

Miss Berneldes Homann and Ervin Labs were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Johnson in Omaha Sunday. 

Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Glandt and Dickle spent  Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Winterburn. 

Mrs. Henry Gruber and sons, Herman and Henry, of Sarpy county, spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Timm. 

The Young People society of the Lutheran church are planning to put on a home talent play in the near future. 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Busekist, Mrs Henry Sass and son, Dale, and Miss Tracy Sass spent Thursday in Omaha. 

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Headley and children spent Saturday at the Chris Rolfs home, in being the birthday of Chris Jr. 

Wayne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Nelson of Blair, spent a week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Suess. 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Seger, who have been living at the Earl Fedde home, moved to Florence the latter part of the week. 

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Denker and son of Papillion were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Denker Sr. Sunday. 

Russell Pfeiffer was able to return home last week from the hospital. His leg is still in a cast, but he is getting  along nicely. 

The streets in the Hansen addition in the south part of town were graded this week, materially improving that addition. 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leu and Geraldine spent Friday in Omaha, and Mrs. A. Leu returned home with them for a visit. 

Miss Dora Denker, Mrs. Otto Plambeck, Mrs. C.N. Bull and Mrs. Helena  Suess spent Saturday evening with Mrs. A. Koerner. 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Risley and daughter and Mrs. Sam Risley spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Denker Jr. 

Chester Denker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Denker, suffered a broken arm Tuesday evening, resulting from cranking a car. 

Edwin Quinn left Tuesday for Beemer, Nebr. , where he will be for some time. He works for the Moran Construction company. 

A sunroom has been added to the Henry Gaines home on the north side and the grounds have been beautifully landscaped making the home much more attractive. 

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wray, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gaines and Mrs. Laura Harrington were guests of Mrs. Henry Gaines Sunday. 

Gust Matschuck purchased a new Chevrolet sedan from H.N. Witt last week and Milton Marshall purchased a used Chevrolet coupe. 

Mr. and Mrs. E.N. Fedde and Wilma and H.J. Fedde were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Behrens, near Waterloo. 

Mr. and Mrs. John Thorpe and Mr. and Mrs. Herring of Omaha spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Grimm. 

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Behrendt and family and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Sachs and family spent Sunday at the Ernest Behrendt home, near Valley. 

Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Goodhard, Mrs. H.N. Witt, G.H. Goodhard and J.E. Quinn attended a “Bryan for Governer” meeting in Benson Thursday evening. 

Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Quinn, Miss Goldie Grimm and Jack Quinn motored to Leigh, Nebr., Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. A. Pimpera. 

V.E. Chamberline accompanied Mrs. Clara Lemere of Omaha and A. Chamberlin of Council Bluffs to Missouri to visit with George Lemere. 

The Library club will meet Wednesday evening, April 24th , at the home of Mrs. Wm. Meyer, Assisting hostess will be Mrs. W.E. Goodhard.
