 Wm. Steen Sr. of Arlington was an Elkhorn caller Monday.

 Mrs. Jack Boggan was an Omaha visitor Wednesday and Thursday.

 Miss Marjorie Beavers spent the week-end with Miss Vivian Matz.

 Mrs. M.S. Deerson spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. Wm. Schuldt.

Miss Mary Mannoln spent the week-end with home folks at Avoca, Ia. 

Mrs. Fred Paasch spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Fred Martens.

 Mrs. Henry Denker and Miss Marie spent Thursday afternoon in Omaha. 

Mrs. Henry Kalk and daughter, Leona, spent the week-end at Lexington.

 Mrs. Joe McArdle spent Saturday afternoon at the  G.H. Goodhard home.

 Mrs. Ashmore, Wm. Hopper and D. D. McLean motored to Omaha Monday.

 Little Maurine Brown is recovering rapidly at her home from a recent operatation.

 Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sass were dinner guests at the Fred Braesch home Sunday. 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vitt of Omaha called on Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bay Sunday.

 Herman Bull, who has been making his home in Omaha, has returned to Elkhorn.

 Misses Martha Kirsch and Emma Deers of Omaha spent Tuesday with Mrs. Wm. Hell. 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stark and son were visitors at the Emil Thomsen home Sunday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Gus Glandt spent Monday afternoon at the Frank Mockelmann home. 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Riecken spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Riecken. 

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quinn were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Lizzie Bull. 

Emmett Niemann spent several days at the Herman Heldt home in Wahoo last week. 

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Suess were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John McAvoy Sunday.

 Mrs. Emil Meyer spent Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Margaret Fallon at Valley.

 Mr. and Mrs. Louie Villwok and family spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Villwok Sr.

 Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mockelmann spent Thursday evening at the John W. Denker home in Valley.

 Mrs. Roy Masters of Arlington is spending the week with her sister, Mrs. A.C. Otte, and family.

 Mrs. Harold Claussen spent Monday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Luenenberg at Millard.

Mrs. Frank Mockelmann and Miss Mildred spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Theodore Mockelmann.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Holling and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Paasch and daughters, Margaret Ann, spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quinn.

 Miss Mildred Mockelmann and John and Henry Gabernowitz motored to Peru Sunday, where Henry Resumed school work after spending the week-end with his parents. 

Miss Ruby and Chris Warstat, Burt Lyman, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bruhn, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ohm and daughter spent Sunday in Yutan at the Lewis Schulz home. 

Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Quinn, Mr. and Mrs. Joe McArdle, Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Thelen and the Burke brothers attended the funeral of John O’Brien in Omaha Wednesday morning.

 Mrs. Anna Greggerson, Mrs. Ida Hess, Mrs. Hell, Mrs. A. Koerner, Mrs. Helana Suess, Mrs. Clyde Hollister, Mrs. Otto Plambeck, Mrs. Louise Otte, Mrs. Chris Bull, spent Friday with Miss Dora Denker, helping her celebrate her birthday.

 Miss Ruby and Chris Warstat and Harry Schulz spent Sunday evening with Miss Elsie Johnson in Yutan. 

Mrs. A. Koerner and Misses Melinda and Caroline Koerner called on Mrs. P.W. Glandt Monday afternoon. 

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quinn and son , Bobby were dinner guests of Mrs. Mary Quinn in Omaha Sunday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bull and children of Millard spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bull Sr.

 Mr. and Mrs. Ed Saeger and Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Glandt attended a banker’s convention at Columbus Friday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boggan attended a banquet at the Knights of Columbus hall in Omaha Monday evening.

 Mr. and Mrs. John Denker Sr. were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Denker at Gretna.

Misses Lauree Schneider, Mary Eva Obert and Cleo Deerson, and Mrs. Leonard Schneider spent Saturday in Omaha.

 Mrs. John Denker Sr. and Mrs. M.S. Deerson spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Ed Timm and Mrs. H.A. Hansen. 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Deerson of Yutan and Mrs. Henry Kroeger visited Sunday afternoon at the Henry Denker home.

 Misses Margaretha Plambeck and Lola Bartels attended the depression party given by the Luther League of Millard Sunday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Fred Winterburn and Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Glandt spent Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Muller. 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Riecken spent Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Behrens helping Mrs. Behrens celebrate her birthday.

 Misses Marie Vicek, Virginia and Eleanor Purcell and Jack Quinn spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Grimm.

 Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hell entertained twenty-five friends from Persia, Ia., and Omaha on Sunday, April 17th, in honor of Mr. Hell’s birthday.

 Mr. and Mrs. John Denker Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Denker and family were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Denker at Valley Sunday.

V.E. Chamberlin and Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Goodhard and sons and Miss Dala Malstead spent Sunday at Council Bluffs with Mr. and Mrs. A. Chamberlin.

 Mrs. Lucy Veskerna and Gilbert and Loretta , Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holling and Lavern and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Veskerna and Eleanore and Vernon were visitors at the Wm. Riecken home Sunday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mowinkel and children, Mrs. Emma Mowinkel and son , Albert, Miss Mildred Glashoff of Gretna and Alvin Mowinkel spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bull.

 Miss Caroline Koerner entertained the A-Maz-U club at her home Tuesday evening. Miss Hazel Bull won first prize and Miss Marie Hollister, second.

 Misses Bessie Lyzhoft, Margaret Kroese and Kathyrn Hughes of Herman amd Miss Mary Wray spent Sunday with Miss Lyzhoft’s mother at Leshara. 

Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Goodhard, Mr. and Mrs. H.N. Witt, Miss Mullin and Alvin McArdle attended the pageant at the coliseum in Omaha Tuesday evening. The pageant was given by the Sisters of Mercy.

 Mr. and Mrs. Tom Murray and Marvin Thomas of Papillion were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Lizzie Bull. Mrs. Murray remained for a longer visit.

 Mrs. Charles Parkening entertained the Afternoon Bridge club at her home Tuesday afternoon., when Mrs. L.H. Brown held high score with Mrs. P.W. Glandt, consolation. 

Misses Bessie Lyzhoft, Margaret Kroese and Kathryn Hughes of Herman, Nebr., were house guests of Miss Mary Wray over the week-end. A dinner was given in their honor  Saturday evening at which the guests were Misses Gladys and Grace Pfeiffer. Violet Bull, Bessie Lyzhoft, Margaret Kroese and Kathryn Hughes Appointments were suggestive of spring.
