Miss Lola Bartels helped her father celebrate his birthday Friday evening.

 Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Goodhard visited at the C.H. Denker home Sunday evening.

 Harold Holmes and Leon Hess are attending Boy Scout camp at Fremont.

 Mr. and Mrs. Roy Glandt spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Saeger.

The Elkhorn Library board met at the home of Mrs. J.N. Wyatt Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quinn and Bobby spent Sunday evening at the A.C. Otte home.

 Little Marilou Witt is spending the week at Fremont with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goodhard.

 Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vitt of Omaha were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bay Sunday. 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schuldt of Blair spent the Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schuldt.

 Mrs. Louise Otte is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Boettger, at Irvington. 

The Elkhorn Junior baseball team went to Millard Sunday and returned with a 12 to 6 victory.

 Mrs. L.H. Brown and Mrs. Ed Saeger motored to Omaha Saturday and called on Mrs. H.N. Witt.

 Betty Moor is spending her vacation with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dorate at Falls City.

 Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Otte and sons Russell and Lowell picnicked at the Cowles lakes on the Fourth.

 The Elkhorn town board held a regular meeting Tuesday evening and transacted routine business.

 Mr. and Mrs. George Hamman and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hamann on the Fourth.

 Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schroeder and family of Millard spent Monday afternoon at the Albert Schroeder home.

 Dr. R.R. Ensor and family and Mrs. W.L. Hall of Omaha spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Rogers.

 Mr. and Mrs. C.N. Bull and Mr. and Mrs. John C. Bull spent Saturday evening at the Emil Luenenberg home near Millard.

 Otto Greggersen made a business trip to Omaha Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Moor and Miss Esther Peck spent Monday at the state fisheries. 

Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Glandt and son Richard attended a show in Omaha Monday evening.

 Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neuhaus entertained Sunday in honor of Mr. Neuhaus birthday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Otto Plambeck entertained Thursday in honor of Mrs. Anna Greggersen Sunday.

 Claus Ruschmann and Miss Minnie Gilbert spent the Fourth of July at the M.H. Ruschman home.

 Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schultz of Portland, Oregon  spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leu.

Mrs. Jack Boggan and daughter, Jeanne, and Frances Goudy, spent Thursday morning swimming at Happy Hollow and had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith.

 Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Glandt, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Glandt and Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Glandt and son attended a picnic at the John Schobert home at Papillion Sunday evening.

 Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hancock of Omaha, Mrs. Katie McMeen of Monette, Mo., and Mrs. J.A. Bryant and John Bryant were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Gaines Monday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Chris Denker and family spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Denker Jr.

 Wallace Deerson, Lowell Otte and Jimmy Thiessen spent last week camping on the Elkhorn river.

 Mr. and Mrs. Otte Benke and son and Mr. and Mrs. Max Harder and Irma spent July 4^th at Fort Calhoun.

 Miss Frieda Fredericks left Wednesday for a visit with friends in Northern Nebraska and South Dakota.

 Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goodhard and son and Marilou Witt spent the 4^th with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Bartels and son.

Dr. L.H. Brown, Henry Holling and Kermit Holmes attended the races at Ak-Sar-Ben field Monday afternoon.

 Miss Dora Denker, Mrs. Otto Plambeck and Mrs. Helena Suess spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Anna Greggersen.

 Mrs. Marie Frahm returned to her home at West Point Thursday, after spending a couple of weeks with Elkhorn friends.

 Mr. and Mrs. Otto Plambeck, Mr. and Mrs. C.N. Bull and Miss Dora Denker were guests of Mrs. P.G. Hofeldt Sunday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mowinkel and Marilyn Frances and Ervin Labs were dinner guests at the H.A. Homann home Monday. 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Goodhard and sons and Miss Dala Malstead and Edna Stewart motored to Omaha Tuesday afternoon.

 Miss Minnie Gilbert and Edna Ruschmann and Claus Ruschman spent Sunday at the municipal airport in Omaha. 

Misses Margaret Settle and Fern Bull attended the court of honor at the Boy Scout camp at Fremont on Thursday night.

 Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goodhard and son, George, and Marilou Witt of Fremont, spent the week-end with relatives in Elkhorn.

 Mrs. Wilmer Filkins and children spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Lutz and family in Little Sioux, Ia.

 Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Allison spent the Fourth in Lincoln with Mr. and Mrs. Willis Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Appleby.

 Mr. and Mrs. Emil Sachs and family and Ed Sachs and August Paasch were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Paasch Sunday.

 Mrs. A.J. Cassel and children of Cedar Rapids, Iowa are visiting at the home of Mrs. Cassel’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schuldt. 

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boggan and Jeane and Frances Goudy spent Wednesday evening at the Gus Sumlick home, near Waterloo. 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Paasch and Margaret Ann and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schneider spent Sunday evening at the Fred Villwok home near Millard.

 Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bull Sr., Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Bull and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bull and family spent Monday evening at the C.B. Bull home.

 Mrs. Minnie Leu of Omaha and cousin, Mrs. Regina Rhumore West of Los Angeles, spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leu and Geraldine.

 Mr. and Mrs. Orville Goudy and Mrs. Sarah Crofgle of Kansas City spent the 4^th with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Boggan. Miss Frances Goudy returned home with them.

 Mr. and Mrs. Irving McArdle and Donna and Mrs. Frank Gelston and Louise Kincaid were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gaines Wednesday evening of last week.

 Mr. and Mrs. William Glandt and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bull Sr. spent the Fourth at Millard with their mother, Mrs. Anna Rohwer, and sister, Mrs. Wm. Blum.

 Mr. and Mrs. Chris Denker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Denker and family and Mr. and Mrs. John W. Denker and family spent Thursday evening at the John Denker Sr. home. 

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klebe and son, Mrs. Anna Greggersen, Miss Freda and Otto Greggersen, Miss Freda and Otto Greggersen spent the 4^th at Antelope park in Lincoln. In the evening they attended the fireworks display at Ak-Sar-Ben field and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Kursauve in Omaha.

 Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Quinn and family, Mrs. Elizabeth Quinn, Mrs. Grant Hofeldt and Miss Elna Meyer visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quinn Friday evening.
