Miss Roma Quinn is spending the week at the Art Plambeck home. 

Misses Alta Malek and Nola Ball spent Thursday of last week in Omaha. 

Miss Anita Rohwer spent Friday with Mrs. Howard Hansen at Waterloo. 

Mrs. Raymond Quinn and son, Bobby, spent Tuesday with Mrs. Lizzie Bull. 

Mr and Mrs. J.E. Quinn spent Thursday evening at the J.B. Rogers home. 

Miss Nola Ball of Osceola is spending her vacation at the John Malek home. 

Mr and Mrs. Orville Nelson and son spent Sunday at the R.E. Suess home. 

Mr and Mrs. Harry Dohse have moved into the John Denker residence. 

Miss Laura Paasch spent Wednesday evening with Clara and Elma Peterson. 

Mrs. Barbara Mockelman and Joe Mockelmann motored to Omaha Wednesday. 

Mrs. Will Hall of Omaha was a guest of Mr and Mrs. J.H. Rogers Sunday. 

Weldon Meyer spent a few days at the home of Mr and Mrs. John Fischer. 

Mr and Mrs. H. Straube have rented rooms at the hotel and moved on Tuesday. 

Philip Morris of Stockport, Ia, is spending a week with Dr. and Mrs. L. H. Brown. 

Mr and Mrs. Robert Lockner  of Cedar Bluffs spent Tuesday evening in Elkhorn. 

Mr and Mrs. Harold Miller entertained at bridge at their home Tuesday evening. 

Oscar Dohse spent Tuesday with Mr and Mrs. Earl Fedde and Miss Leona Dohse. 

Mrs. Henry Bull Sr. spent Tuesday at the home of Mr and Mrs. Henry Bull Jr. 

Mrs. John Housley returned home from the hospital Tuesday and is getting  along nicely. 

Mr and Mrs. J.B. Rogers were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. E. Chavet Wednesday. 

Mr and Mrs. Earl Brown and family of Omaha called at the Nick Witt home Sunday evening. 

Mr and Mrs. Earl Fedde and family were dinner guests at the Henry Thiessen home Sunday. 

Misses Helen Pfeiffer, Evelyn Richer and Elmer Pfeiffer spent Friday evening in Millard. 

Mr and Mrs. Bert Headley and daughter spent Tuesday evening with Mr and Mrs. Virgil Allison. 

Mr and Mrs. Chris Denker and family spent Tuesday evening with Mr and Mrs. John Denker Sr. 

Mr and Mrs. Wilcox who have been occupying the Hamann house have moved back to the farm. 

Mr and Mrs. Otto Plambeck and Miss Dora Denker spent Sunday evening with Mr and Mrs. Clyde Hollister. 

The C.H. Mongomery post of the American Legion held a regular meeting in K. of  P. hall Wednesday evening. 

Mr and Mrs. Henry Bay spent Monday evening in Bennington with Mrs. Bay’s mother, Mrs. Regena Claussen. 

Mrs. A.L. Webber and daughter, Mildred of Sidney, Nebr. are visiting at the home of Mr and Mrs. G.F. Blackburn. 

Mr and Mrs. George Stolley and son spent Sunday in Fremont with Mr and Mrs. Peter Glandt and Mrs. Lena Matzen. 

Mrs. H. Peterson and Henry Irvin, Lucille and Irma, and Fred Labs spent Wednesday evening at the Albert Labs home. 

Mr and Mrs. Wm. Glandt and Mr and Mrs. Roy Glandt were dinner guests at the John Schobert home at Papillion Sunday. 

Mr and Mrs. Otto Plambeck and Miss Dora Denker visited with Mrs. Louis Bull at the Immanuel hospital in Omaha Sunday. 

Misses Edna Stewart and Dale Malstead and Henry Holling and Harold Holmes attended the show at Valley Saturday evening. 

Mr and Mrs. W.C. Fuller and children of Omaha and Mr and Mrs. H.N. Witt and children picnicked at Cowles lakes Sunday. 

Grant Rogers left Tuesday evening for his home in Sheridan, Wyoming after spending two weeks with his parents, Mr and Mrs. J.B. Rogers. 

Mr and Mrs. John Diestal are the parents of a baby girl, born Tuesday, June 14th. Mrs. Diestal and daughter are in the Methodist hospital. 

John Bull and Henry Bay attended Masonic grand lodge in Omaha Tuesday and Mr. Bay also attended the meeting of the Masonic veterans. 

 

Evelyn Miller returned home Monday from Monroe, NE. where she spent two weeks with her grand-parents, Mr and Mrs. M.A. McNealy. 

The members of the Blue Ribbon Sewers club and their leader, Miss LaFola Winterburn, attended club day in Omaha Tuesday at last week. 

Mr and Mrs. C.H. Denker and children and Theo. Denker and John Sass spent Thursday evening in Fremont at the Charles Goodhard home. 

Mr and Mrs. R.B. Letvosky and Jeanne Marie and Mr and Mrs. B.E. Koerner and family visited with Mrs. Amanda Koerner and family Sunday. 

Mr and Mrs. A. Chamberlin of Council Bluffs and Mr and Mrs. W. E. Goodhard and sons were dinner guests at the V.E. Chamberlin home Sunday. 

John Bendixen has returned home after a visit with friends in Lincoln. Mr. Bendixen left Wednesday for Chappell, where he will spend the summer. 

Mrs. Arthur Deerson and Lawrence Schneider spent Tuesday with Fred Schneider at the hospital in Omaha. Mr. Schneider is recovering from an operation. 

Mr and Mrs. John Seltz, Mr and Mrs. John Claussen and Mr and Mrs. C. Ducker spent Saturday evening playing pinochle at the W.H. Winterburn home. 

Mrs. Harold Miller and daughters Evelyn and Gwendolyn, left Wednesday for Monroe, Nebr. to visit at the home of Mrs. Miller’s parents, Mr and Mrs. M.A. McNealy. 

Mr and Mrs. Earl Fedde and family moved into their new home Sunday, which formerly was the Marx Hamann house and occupied by Mr and Mrs. Dillon Wilcox. 

Carroll, little son of Mr and Mrs. Art Plambeck, suffered a broken right arm Sunday morning, when he fell off his pony. His arm was broken near the wrist in two places. 

Mr and Mrs. Hans Rohwer and Miss Anita, Mr and Mrs. Howard Hansen and Mr and Mrs. Gus Hansen of Waterloo spent Friday evening at the C.J. Dagerman home on West Dodge. 

Mr and Mrs. William Schuldt Sr. and Mr and Mrs. John Schuldt and daughter, Lorraine, spent Sunday afternoon at Bennington at the homes of Mrs. Regena Claussen and Hans Moeller. 

Mrs. Jack Boggan entertained at bridge at her home Thursday afternoon  of last week, when five tables were occupied. Mrs. G.F. Blackburn had high score and Miss Rose Sumnick, low score. 

Mr and Mrs. J.B. Rogers entertained at dinner Friday for Mrs. Wind of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Dan Hannon and son, Richard, Mrs. R.R. Ensor of Omaha, and Grant Rogers of Sheridan, Wyo. 

Misses Alyce and Irene Labs, Edwin Arnold and Fred Labs, Irma and Clara Peterson and Mr and Mrs. Harry Jones and daughter and Mr and Mrs. Earl  Ransleam enjoyed a picnic at Cedar Bluffs Sunday. 

Mr and Mrs. Fred Grimm and family, Mr and Mrs. Adolph Grimm and family, Mr and Mrs. John Malek, Mrs. August Grimm and Fritz Frank attended the funeral services held for William Grimm in Omaha Monday. 

The meeting of the Alter Society which was to have been held last Thursday afternoon, was postponed until Thursday afternoon of this week, when it was held at the home of Mrs. L.J. Chavet near Waterloo. 

Mr and Mrs. .G.H. Goodhard and Mr and Mrs. Henry Pasch and Margaret Ann motored to Fremont Tuesday evening. Mr and Mrs. Goodhard remained and visited at the W.J. Melnerny and Charles Goodhard  homes until Saturday. 

Mrs. Lucille Malstead gave a party Monday afternoon for her nephew, Orville Stewart of Fairfield Nebr. There was twelve boys present. Orville left Monday evening for his home at Fairfield after spending several weeks here. 

Nine tables were occupied at the bridge benefit given for the Library club at the home of Mrs. J.N. Wyatt Friday evening. First prizes were won by Mrs. Harold Miller and W.E. Goodhard; second by Mrs. John Bull and A.H. Mclean and third by Mrs. E. Saeger and Dr. L.H. Brown, and fourth by Mrs. Glen Blackburn. 

Mr and Mrs. Walter Bull and children left Saturday morning for Kimball, where Mrs. Bull and children will spend a couple of weeks with Mr and Mrs. Lloyed Skiles on their ranch near that place. Mr. Bull writes that they are having a wonderful time but that the youngsters want the Exchange sent to them while there so that they can keep posted on things at home. Mr. Bull returned Monday.

Mr and Mrs. Virgil Allison and Mr and Mrs. William Nelson spent Sunday evening at the Harvey Allison home at Waterloo. 

Mrs. Emma Mowinkel and Mildred Glasshoff of Gretna spent several days at the home of Mr and Mrs. John Bull last week. 

A group of relatives and friends helped Miss Irma Peterson celebrate her birthday at the Ferd Peterson home Thursday evening. 

Mr and Mrs. Otto Benke and son, Bobby, and Mr and Mrs. Max Harder and Irma spent Wednesday evening at the Hans Rohwer home.
