Dr. Margaret Koenig saw “Of Thee I Sing” at the Brandeis Monday evening. 

Mr. and Mrs. George Cunningham were guests at the D.G. Hopper home Monday evening. 

The Goodwin family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Corbourne in Omaha on Christmas. 

Mrs. Robert Warren and children are spending the week at Scotia with Mrs. Warren’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Seefus. 

A very beautiful evergreen tree, electrically lighted, in the Stenglein yard attracted no small amount of admiration. 

Mr. and Mrs. P.O. Devries and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gleason spent Monday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Robinson. 

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lockwood and Maxine and Miss Eleanor McGinness spent Tuesday evening at the C.H. Denker home at Elkhorn. 

Miss Eleanor McGinness entertained twelve guests at a bridge luncheon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Charles Grewcock, Thursday. 

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Powers left Tuesday for Kellogg, Ia., where they were called on account of the death of Mrs. Powers grandmother. 

Mr. and Mrs. Carlton B. Noyes and Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Noyes spent Christmas day with Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Johnston  and family at Fremont. 

Mr. and Mrs. George Powers and Edwin and Gilbert Groeteke spent Christmas day in Scribner with Mrs. Powers’ mother, Mrs. Barbara Wiegand. 

Mrs. John Behrens and Everett motored to Ashland Monday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Ohm and family, Edward Ohm came home with them to spend a few days. 

Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Mohattm, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mohatt were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pulte at Christmas dinner at their home in Florence. 

Mr. and Mrs. Austin Eklund entertained at their home Friday evening, in honor of Mrs. Eklund birthday, where three tables at bridge were occupied. Prizes were won by Mrs. Clarence Eklund and Carl Lockwood, high and Mrs. Carl Lockwood and Peter Petersen, low score.

Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Hopper, Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, Miss Lomila Hopper and Donald Lebbert were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. McLean at Elkhorn Wednesday evening. 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe McArdle and son, Donald; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Andresen and son, Vern, John Andreson, Miss M. Martens and Edward McArdle spent Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Hansen. 

Otto Wilson attended a meeting of the Omaha Advertising club  at the Rome hotel Tuesday night. The meeting was addressed by John L. Scott of Chicago, who spoke on “The Value of Photography in Advertising”. 

Last Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gregurich entertained in honor of their twelfth wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Jay Headley, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Headley and Lyle Allison of Greeley, Colo. 

We have a card from Mrs. E. Aston telling  us that we were mistaken about the church that burned at Marietta, it was the Baptist church that was destroyed by fire. Mrs. Ashton sends wishes to old friends in Waterloo. 

Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Campbell entertained at Christmas dinner for Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Flor and family, Mr. and Mrs Otto Wilson and family, Mr. and Mrs Jack Brookly, Mr. and Mrs James Niel and Mr. and Mrs Stuart Campbell. 

Christmas guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs J.H. Behrens were Mr. and Mrs Earl Fedde and family, Mr. and Mrs Harry Dohse, Miss Hazel Dohse, Harry Fredo and Everett Behrens, Miss Hazel Sumnick  and Francis Sumnick. 

The Ladies Aid society will meet at the home of Mrs. John Todd on Wednesday, January 4th, with Mrs. Leonard King, Mrs. G.G. Gee and Mrs. H.R. Bell, assistant hostesses. Mrs. W.H. Jacobson will have charge of the program. 

Mr. and Mrs. Hans Rohwer and Miss Anita of Elkhorn, Mr. and Mrs George Rohwer and Mr. and Mrs C.J. Dagerman and Gene of West Dodge, and Mr. and Mrs Philip McArdle and son of Omaha were guests at the Gus Hansen home Tuesday evening.
